Cervical ScreeningThe SCPCN wants to improve prevention and early detection of cervical cancer. To increase routine screening by patients within the network, the SCPCN has provided specialized training to a Registered Nurse. The nurse provides Pap tests to unattached patients during evening clinics. At this appointment, the RN will only provide your pap smear. They may consult with a physician who may be able to refill birth control prescriptions. All other prescriptions, labs, or medical concerns must be addressed by a physician at separate walk-in appointment. If you do not have a family physician, you can return for your results and any other concernsas a walk-in patient only. At this time, Registered Nurses do not provide internal exams or breast exams.
